    Customer Communication Best Practices

Steer Integration: After an appointment is added in Steer, users can manage communication and appointment messaging directly in Steer.

    • Two-Way Communication: AutoOps does not yet support two-way communication. For effective customer interactions:

      • Turn OFF AutoOps Appointment Notifications: Disable appointment notifications in AutoOps to prevent redundant alerts. Keep receipt confirmations on.

      • Use Steer for Notifications: Enable and utilize Steer’s appointment notifications and templates. This allows messages to be sent from the Steer number, with customers able to respond, cancel, or reschedule directly through Steer.

      • Limitations of AutoOps: AutoOps notifications are no-reply and do not support customer responses.

      • Later in the fall we will enable an integration where all AutoOps texts send via Steer enabling 2-way communication and consolidating all messaging in one place.

If you still see the Steer Scheduler, or the AutoOps booking tool is not loading (you see only the outer borders, but no content inside), reach out to help@steer.io or initiate a live chat for assistance.
