How to Upgrade or Downgrade my Steer Plan

Follow this article to make changes to your current Steer Plan

To review your plan details click "view plans" on the left navigation bar

Within this section you will see the contract type you currently have along with applied discounts. In this area, you can switch to annual billing, and upgrade, or downgrade, your plan directly from the Steer platform:

Updating to an Annual Plan: If you switch from monthly to annual pricing you will see the discount that will be applied as well as the amount your shop will be charged immediately for the annual subscription.

Upgrading Your Plan:  If you choose to upgrade your plan, you will see the increase in text sends you will gain, in addition to the monthly increase in price.

Downgrade Your Plan: If you choose to downgrade your plan you will see the decrease in text sends you will lose, in addition to the monthly decrease in price.

After updating your plan, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your new plan and included functions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my text campaign send limit (1,000/month, etc.) include 2-way conversations?

The monthly campaign limit is strictly reserved for text campaigns (any texts within the ‘Active Campaigns’ tab). 2-way direct texts and appointment notifications (such as appointment confirmation or reminders) do not count toward this number. Emails, including email campaigns, are always unlimited on every plan.

Will I be notified once my campaign send limit has been met?

Yes, the Steer tenant owner will be notified via email when you are approaching your limit and when you have reached it.

Can I buy additional text messages for campaign sends that exceed my monthly limit?

No, additional messages cannot be purchased. However, you can upgrade your plan for the month that you need to exceed your text limit.

Can I downgrade to a smaller plan if the needs of my shop change?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time. An upgrade will take effect immediately so that you can resume sending text campaigns. A downgrade will take effect at your next billing date.

Can I select a single feature upgrade if it is not included in my plan?

No, all features are included with all plans. We are invested in your shop's success and want you to have all the tools available. The difference in plans is the number of text messages that can be sent monthly and the level of support from our team.

Is a contract required?

No, only annual plans require a contract.

Can I cancel my plan at any time? 

Yes, but there is a 30-day notice period for cancellation. Please reference the cancellation policy in Section 10 of our Terms & Conditions.

How can I update my credit card?

Contact your CS Rep or reach out via chat support, and we will provide you with a link to update your information.

Where are my invoices?

Invoices are emailed to the billing email address given when you signed up. To change or confirm, please get in touch with your CS rep.
