Meet To-Dos, your new way to keep shop work organized inside Steer’s CRM. Whether it’s a sales callback, vehicle quote, or internal reminder, To-Dos help your team stay on top of it all; to-dos are assigned, trackable, and visible across your shop.

Toggling on Notifications for To-Dos
Creating & Customizing To-Dos
You can create To-Dos throughout Steer from the +Add button present at the top of the screen, or while on the To-Dos tab on the Steer Dashboard.
You are still able to navigate throughout the Steer platform while creating and customizing To-Dos.
You are able to customize the following fields on To-Dos:
- Name - the title of your To-Do.
- Status - track the progress and completion of a To-Do by updating the status.
- Assignee - assign To-Dos to specific employees. To assign to an employee, they must have a Steer login on your shop page.
- Priority - prioritize To-Dos so your team knows which to complete first.
- Due - set a due date for your To-Do.
- Labels - select which labels correspond with the content of your To-Do.
- Customer - attach a specific customer to this To-Do.
- Vehicle - attach a customer's specific vehicle to this To-Do.
- Description - a freeform text box for any notes.
Toggling on Notifications for To-Dos
Keeping up with To-Dos is made easy with Steer's notification settings. Head to your Steer profile to ensure you have notifications ON for To-Dos so you never miss a task.
In Steer, click Your Name in the Lower Left, head to My Profile and select Notifications.
Locate notification settings for To-Dos and toggle ON the notification types you would like to receive.
Relative to To-Dos, you can receive Email, Text, and Desktop notifications for the following:
- Assigned - To-Dos specifically assigned to your Steer user.
- Due Today - Notifications for your To-Dos on their due date so you don't fall behind.
- Status Change - Notifications regarding status updates of your To-Dos when you, or any other user, adjusts the status of your To-Do.
Notifications for To-Dos are related to the assigned Steer User of the To-Do. You will only receive notifications for To-Dos that are assigned to your Steer user.
