Custom fields are a great way to collect as much information from the customer during the scheduling process. Our custom fields allow you to creatively collect this information. Create custom fields that have various answer input styles, fully custom questions, target specific customers, and more!
How to Utilize Appointment Custom Fields (Issue Tree)
Custom fields on this page can be added to pages in your Issue Tree from the Issue Tree Editor. These fields are great for collecting extra information based on the service the customer chose. You can utilize this field to collect service preferences and even upsell additional services.
In your AutoOps Dashboard navigate to:
1. Scheduling Tool
2. Custom Fields
3. Appointment Custom Fields (Issue Tree)
4. Click "Create Custom Field"
5. Input the Details of your Custom Field (answer type, name, field info, etc.)
Example: Would you like your wipers replaced as part of your inspection?
Next, you will want to add this custom field to the corresponding service on your Issue Tree.
6. Navigate to Scheduling Tool > Issue Tree
7. Click on the Service you would like to add the custom field to. This will navigate you onto the next screen.
8. Click Edit in the Lower Left
9. Click Update Custom Fields
10. Select the custom field(s) you would like to associate with this service.
11. Save.
These custom fields will show with the corresponding service they are linked to during the scheduling process.
How to Utilize Appointment Custom Fields (Dedicated)
All custom fields on this page that are active are added to a page in your scheduler directly after the customer finishes all of their services selections; they will have their own dedicated page in the scheduling process.
This is a great way to ask any additional information about the appointment such as coupon codes.
In your AutoOps Dashboard Navigate to:
1. Scheduling Tool
2. Custom Fields
3. Appointment Custom Fields (Dedicated)
4. Click Create a Custom Field
5. Input the Details of your Custom Field (answer type, name, field info, etc.)
Example: Do you have a coupon code for this service?
6. Save.
These custom fields will appear on a dedicated page after all service selections have been made by the customer.

All custom fields on this page that are active will be used in your scheduler if they apply to the customer.
Customer Custom Fields are great for collecting extra information about your customer such as their birthday, preferred payment methods, etc.
In your AutoOps Dashboard Navigate to:
1. Scheduling Tool
2. Custom Fields
3. Customer Custom Fields
4. Click Create a Custom Field
5. Input the Details of your Custom Field (answer type, name, field info, etc.)
Example: When is your birthday?
6. Save.
These custom fields will appear on the customer information screen of your scheduling tool.
How to Utilize Vehicle Custom Fields
All custom fields on this page that are active will be used in your scheduler if they apply to the customer.
Vehicle Custom Fields are great for collecting extra information about your customer's specific vehicle such as length of ownership, preferred tire brand, etc.
In your AutoOps Dashboard Navigate to:
1. Scheduling Tool
2. Custom Fields
3. Vehicle Custom Fields
4. Click Create a Custom Field
5. Input the Details of your Custom Field (answer type, name, field info, etc.)
Example: How long have you owned this vehicle?
6. Save.
These custom fields will appear on the vehicle information screen of your scheduling tool, if they apply.
