Customer notes allow shops to leave notes about the customer, attach notes to specific vehicles, add photos, videos, and other attachments to notes via Steer, or syncing notes from their Shop Management System.
Notes created via Steer are editable and deletable from Steer.
There are two ways to add customer notes in Steer
- Add Notes via Text Threads
- Add Notes via Customer Profile
Add Notes in Text Threads
When in a text conversation with a customer, you are able to add notes on the right hand side. You can attach a specific vehicle to the note along with images, videos, and other attachments.
Add Notes via Customer Profile
When on a customer's Steer profile, you are able to add notes in the lower right hand side. You can attach a specific vehicle to the note along with images, videos, and other attachments.
How to Edit or Delete a Note
Locate the note you would like to edit or delete, click the three dots to the right of the note, choose Edit or Delete
