Steer allows you to assign User Roles to each user on your Steer account, below is an explanation of what each User Role has access to within the Steer platform.
There are 7 user roles within Steer - click a user role to learn about their permissions:
Tenant Owner
Full Access: The Tenant Owner role will have access to all areas and functionalities of the Steer platform. If you have multiple shops on Steer the Tenant Owner can access all areas and functions of all shops on your Steer tenant.
Shop Admin
Full Access: The Shop Admin role will have access to all areas and functionalities of the Steer platform for the shop(s) they are assigned to. This includes all platform and setting pages and their features.
Manager
Full Access: The Manager role has full access to the following Platform pages and their features.
- Dashboard - can access all sub-pages.
- Communications - can access all sub-pages.
- Appointments - can access all sub-pages.
- Opportunity Hub - can access all sub-pages. (Today's Call List sub-page is Steer Ultimate Tier only).
- Reputation - can access all sub-pages.
- Customers - can access all sub-pages.
- Campaigns - can access all sub-pages.
No Access: The Manager role does not have access to the Settings area and it's corresponding pages.
Marketing
Full Access: The Marketing role has full access to the following Platform pages and their features.
- Appointments - can access all sub-pages.
- Opportunity Hub - can access all sub-pages.
- Reputation - can access all sub-pages.
- Customers - can access all sub-pages.
- Campaigns - can access all sub-pages.
Limited Access: The Marketing role has restricted access to the following Platform pages and their features.
- Dashboard
- Can Access: Motovisuals
- Cannot Access: Analytics, Customer Activity, Business Insights.
- Communication
- Can Access: Texts and Emails.
- Cannot Access: Call Intelligence (Steer Ultimate Tier Only)
No Access: The Marketing role does not have access to the Settings area and it's corresponding pages.
Service Advisor
Full Access: The Service Advisor role has full access to the following Platform pages and their features.
- Opportunity Hub - can access all sub-pages.
- Reputation - can access all sub-pages.
- Customers - can access all sub-pages.
Limited Access: The Service Advisor role has restricted access to the following Platform pages and their features.
- Dashboard
- Can Access: Motovisuals.
- Cannot Access: Analytics, Customer Activity, Business Insights.
- Communication
- Can Access: Texts and Emails.
- Cannot Access: Call Intelligence (Steer Ultimate Tier Only).
- Appointments
- Can Access: Appointment Scheduler and Appointment Calendar.

Communications
Limited Access: The Communications role has restricted access to the following Platform pages and their features.

Messenger
Limited Access: The Messenger role has restricted access to the following Platform pages and their features.
- Communication
- Can Access: Texts and Emails.
- Cannot Access: Call Intelligence (Steer Ultimate Tier Only).
- Reputation
- Can Access: Surveys.
- Cannot Access: Reviews.
No Access: The Marketing role does not have access to the following areas/pages and their features.
- Dashboard.
- Appointments.
